Question Climb and Descend Rates?

Hi,

I came to this board to just ask a little question about climb and descent vertical speeds in the 767-300ER. I hae just purchased a very high tech realistic 767-300ER simulator (package, not the real thing!). As I am yet to fly the real thing, I really need you guys to tell me this... I get vertical speeds of upto 4000 fpm using VNAV in the climb at about FL200, 300,000lbs gross weight and CLB1 set. Is this realistic? Is this like in REAL life?

Thanks
Ben Alexander-Bron

Never underestimate the power of the mighty 767!
Seriously though, that sounds slightly excessive, but only slightly.
At 140,000kg (metric please!) I'd expect to see 4000ft/min during initial climb, reducing to 2000ft/min at say FL330 with climb 1 selected. Will depend on the OAT to a degree as well.
It'd be great if you could drop me an e-mail with the details of this sim!!
