Qantas cadetship - True or False?

I am about to obtain my PPL and are strongly thinking of applying for the cadetship Qantas is offering, Is it as clear cut as it sounds or is there more to it?

I heard Qantas had closed the doors for this just recently and that there was no guarantee of a job anyway.
