Question Flight Tuition!

After an absence of nearly ten years, a friend who completed an RAF Flying Scholarship but failed to follow through to PPL rating due to personal finances now wishes to obtain his license. Can anybody advise how many hours would now be required and roughly what costs based say on a C150/152?

well the first thing would be to contact those lovely CAA people - they will then turn round and say that all of the hours done previously count towards the licence. thats the good news.

the bad news is that after that amount of time they are probably looking at starting from stratch!! they would rememeber some things but in my opinion (ops manager for 6 years) not enough.

Cost? depending on where you train you are looking at realistically spending £5,000 - £8,000 all in- and yes that is in a C150.

the only thing i can say is that it is sooooooooo worth it!!

if you need any more help or advise let me know.
