Question Runways at Edinburgh

Does anyone know if the second runway at Edinburgh,( NOT 06/24 )is now in use. The reason that I'm asking is that the normal app for Rwy 24 is over my work, then right out over the forth Estury, and then a sharp turn west, cutting over the bridges and over the A90 2 land, but the other day I saw an A/C fly over an area of Edinburgh called the Gyle ( full of shops and stuff ) and its was so low, it had to be coming into land. From wot I could see, the gear was down, flaps were set and it was heading for the other runway, and it definately wasn't landing on Rwy 24 or 06 so can someone help me out???

Sounds like Runway 30 was in use.

Indeed 10W is correct. The approach for 30 brings the aircraft very low over Colinton and the Gyle Shopping Centre (low enough to see into the undercarriage bays) and it gives shoppers in the Gyle cafe something to gasp about. 30 is sometimes not operational because aircraft get parked on it (biz jets, visiting airliners etc) but often flight crews request 30 as against the usual 24.

Hope this helps,
