AFAIK accident rate has drastically improved with implemantation of GPWS and also with TCAS.
Could one say the same about the cockpit philosophie of airbus?
For me, it looks like many accidents/incidents are the result of over automatisation, very complex technology which kicks the pilots out of the loop.
AF447, TAM3054, XL Perpignan, etc, etc.....
