Question How Much is YOUR leave worth?

A company I know well has a problem with annual leave. They cannot allocate the proper amount to their pilots. A figure to buy back the annual leave outstanding, from the pilots has been mentioned. It is approx 0.75% of a days pay. Is this comparable to deals any of you have had from your companies?

How much would you settle for?

Your leave days are worth 100% of what you get paid.
If the company is too cheap to employ enough pilots, then they should pay out the leave (if both the company and the individual pilots agree to it) at the same rate of pay as the pilot would have earned while on leave, i.e. basic, plus any training/management allowances normally paid.
You'll be taxed at your normal rate, so why should you take less than normal?
