BA 757's
The EDI-LHR-EDI shuttle used to use the 757's almost exclusively. At one time a 767 operated the last flight out of LHR and the first flight out of EDI. In the last year or so the 757's have largely been replaced by 737-400, A320 and A319's. I know BA had a plan to get rid of some 757's but does anyone know exactly how many will be left. Judging by the difficulties I've had getting booked on the peak hour flights it would seem demand is high. Have BA been short-sighted in cutting capacity by so much?

You can't get rid of us that easily.....
The plan is (roughly) to dispose of 2 757s each month until there are 12 left. This will occur by Spring 2003. The ones to stay will be the sprightly E4 versions.
We still go to EDI, and with the demise of the Scottish base, we now even get nightstops there! Great...
