Post Sterling to phase out B727s for B757 freighters?

Anyone know anything about this. I heard that they will phase out their B727 freighters and get B757 freighters instead and are looking for operators of B757 to operate for them?

Hi Myk,
I fly for TNT out of liege right now, on the sterling 727s, 1 has been phased out on january and the next one next month, then they plan on getting rid of the others all along the year...But what next is the absolute mystery...I can tell you that TNT is still thinking about the next aircraft, to be choosen between the 757 and the A-310, as airbus is offering them a pretty good deal, but nothing sure yet...I know for sure that the chief-pilot went for a 757 type lately...
As for sterling to take over the contract if tnt choose the 757, it's way probable, as tnt hasn't got the capacity to operate them, and sterling has the experience, plus they would need the money!
That's all I can tell you, if you want I can keep you update, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail time to time.
take care,
yan
