Question Itavia DC-9

The Itavia DC-9 that was lost on June 27 1980, was supposedly shot down by "friendly fire." However, I've seen somewhere that an investigation carried out by a British specialist concluded that the aircraft was destroyed by an on board explosion.
I seem to recall that this link was posted on PPRuNe, I believe, last fall. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanx.
