Cool cloud base

HI,does anyone know how to calculate the cloud base if you got the dew point and temperature?
I've got the formula: for cumulus cloud ,H=124(T-T')
for stratus cloud,H=208(T-T')
* T' is dew point
I'm not sure if it's right or not and why it's differernt for cumulus and stratus?
THANKS!
