UK ATPL issue
Having reached the magic 1500 hour mark I'm going to apply for my ATPL. Some of my flying hasn't been countersigned.
Anyone know if the CAA will give me my log book back and demand I get those periods which haven't been signed to be signed?!?!

As far as I am aware, its not an issue now, as you will be issued with a JAR FCL ATPL. The requirements are slightly different. You can check out the CAA website, it gives you all the requirements.

I wouldn't even bother with the countersigning. The JAR Atpl requirement is 1500 hours TOTAL time with no UK CAA requirement for 1500 PI so they are not too worried about the countersigning. I also had a load that were not signed but still got mine!

Just goes to show how ill informed some of the replies are and how careful you have to be.
Whilst there is not a requirement for 1500hrs PIC, JAR-FCL 1.280 does require that 250 hrs of the 1500 total time be PIC. This may be split into 100 hrs PIC and 150 PICUS.
Whilst the UK CAA will accept a certificate by the Fleet Manager or similar, this may not necessarily be the case in other JAA member states. JAR-FCL 1.080 is quite clear that PICUS must be countersigned by the PIC and some states, unlike the UK, implement the requirements in full.
