Who are Star Airlines?

Can anyone tell me who Star Airlines are? I've done a search on the web and only get references to the Star Alliance.

I was on the scheduled AF 1571 from LHR to CDG last Wednesday and was a little miffed to be squeezed onto what looked like a charter plane owned by the aforementioned who I'd never heard of.

Anyone help me?
