Post bmi cockpit visits?

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum...

We flew MAN-IAD and IAD-MAN this month and were refused a cockpit visit for both legs because "we're busy". Is this standard bmi policy or were they likely to be doing crew training?

We did, however, get an excellent cockpit visit courtesy of United on the MCO-IAD leg where the first officer took me through all the systems and had a very interesting chat.

It's likely that they were training, though after the BA 747 "uninvited guest" everyone's a bit more wary.
