I think you might just draw a blank here. We have no idea who you are and those of us in the industry are acutely aware of how vulnerable we can be from a security angle. It is highly unlikely that anybody with a modicum of intelligence will tell you anything. Sorry.

Well actually, in my opinion, that's not quite true.

If you want to know anything about Aviation Security, it certainly isn't a TOP SECRET subject. As a starting point, you can approach BAA Heathrow. Once they've checked you out, and you have a legitimate reason for the enquiry, I'm sure they can help you out.

It is not top secret and a good idea to start with the BAA.

But my point is that it is unlikely that any one here is going to reveal anything to an anonymous enquiry on a bulletin board.

The proper channels are of course the correct place to find out this sort of information especially as princesspeewee does not have a sinister motive....er, perhaps I should say that she probably doesn't....er, she might have but....er, well lets reveal all and hope for the best.

Lightbulb

It appears to be pretty tight.

At a Very Large Airport I went on an official visit arranged by the local Magistrates' Court. I carried ID, and checked in at the Police Station. I travelled with my colleagues in a marked Police vehicle, accompanied by two uniformed officers. We wore identifying official Hi-Vis vests, and passes round our necks. At the airside gate we were debussed, frisked, scanned electronically, and escorted back on to the bus.

I think that was properly done, and I hope it's the same for everyone.
