Post Trading Down?

As a non-pilot I wondered how pilots feel about trading down from norrow-bodies like B737s to piloting RJs such as Embraers, CRJs, Dorniers etc. Is the a/c type the overall attraction or are company culture, salary/package, base location etc all important motivators?

Generally it can be likened to car size versus your manhood. Big plane, big cheese, big ****.

On a practical level you get more time off and more money the larger the aircraft. Therefore for a lot of people bigger is better. However, smaller is more fun!!
