Question Asiana B737NGs in Europe?

An engineer friend saw an advert in Fright by Asiana for B737NG qualified engineers to be based in the UK and Germany! Is Asiana planning to base and operate this type in Europe then? Pax or freight? Anyone know more?

Most unlikely; OZ has never operated the 737NG. It currently operates 737-4/500s and it's increasing its A321 fleet. I can't see them operating the type outside Korea either, although they are re-opening their Seoul-FRA sector, which will be a 747-400 service. Engineers may be required for this.

Exactly what I told my mate. Or it's a typo. But he insists that the ad specifically mentions New Generation B737s (747s are not referred to as NGs). I don't have a copy of Flight so I can't confirm.
