Urgent Weather Decode Questions~~

Hi guys, recently i've encountered a confusing problem about the wx decode regarding to RJAA. The following is the WX FCST.

RJAA 0542045Z 0521/0624 34004KT 8000 FEW020 SCT040
TEMPO 0521/0524 3000 BR
BECMG 0600/0602 14007KT
BECMG 0615/0618 30005KT

Since there are RWY 16/34 , what would u guys look at when choosing the RWY when the ETA is 0603z.

From my view i would choose RWY 34 since "BECMG 0600/0602 14007KT"
is only valid to 0602z, any period that falls behind 0602z will be seen as the "0521/0624 34004KT". Correct me if i was wrong.

Becoming 140/7 between the 6th at 0000Z and the 6th at 0200Z. It stays that way untill 1500Z since it is BECMG and not TEMPO.

Personally, I would wait until approaching TOD then get the ATIS or TAFOR and chose a runway at that time.

kelvin

you are wrong!

BECMG 0600/0602 14007KT
represents a forecast permanent change. They expect after 0602 the wind to be 140/7 until the next modifier. Expect runway 16 but it is not a guarantee, as they may be wrong, and notoriously NRT winds are quite fickle, so the change may not happen, but a meteorologist somewhere has thrown his weather prediction sticks in the air and they have come down this way.

From my view i would choose RWY 34
Having landed at RJAA more times than I can count...you ain't gonna get to choose, the runway will be assigned, make no mistake.

After you have landed, forget about it and retire to the Truck for a tall cool 'un.

Is the Truck still open? I thought it closed over a year ago?

Still, if you go there, you may still find 411A there scratching his head wondering what he is meant to be doing

How much tailwind can take? If the both runways are acceptable, it's often the little notes in the margin that decide. But in this case is looks like ATC will have already thrown the dice and will tell you what you rolled as you get a bit closer.

I'm afraid that it's really only the Jet Lag Club and the Cage for entertainment - The Barge doesn't really do much for me.

This is an odd thread. If you are landing in RJAA why are you asking this? If you are not, why are you asking this?

Just curious as to your reason for asking such a simple question that does not need an answer until you get there?
