Question Temporary lost of medical

Take the following situation:

A Young F/O goes to renew his medical only to find out that
he is no longer within JAA refraction limits for eyesight,
though he is still well within the -5 total limit. Would he lose his
medical and therefore job or would allowences be made?
Assuming he does lose his medical what would happen if he were to
turn 25 thereby fulfilling JAA requirements.

If you are over 25 years old, or can show stability of refraction over the last 3 years (an unchanged glasses’ prescription), a refractive error between -3.00 and -5.00 dioptres in the most ametropic meridian is acceptable.

Is he then reissued a medical?
What if loss of licence insurance had been claimed?
