Lightbulb A320 Max Ceiling Fl Exceedance

1. What happens if you exceeded the Max A320 Ceiling 39100 FT
2. What happens if you exceeded the Max recommended FL or ALT

You may have to respond to a TCAS climb at FL390.

Nothing will happen to the aircraft as the first is a certification issue and the 2nd is fuel/cost associated.......

If you exceed the max ceiling, you will see how your green dot touches your barber pole.
You will be very close to both and, in case of turbulence, you will stall due to overspeed, undersepeed, overspeed, underspeed, and so on until you descend.
As you know, you will be in the buffeting corner.

You can take FL400 (max ALT is 398), but for me there is no reason to do it . (if for avoiding CB's, it will probably be bumpy too).

The second one, as Mutt says ist just efficency related.
