Emirates/Israel

Hey all,

I have a question concerning the freedom of religion in Dubai. I am actually interested in applying for Emirates, but due to the fact, that part of my family lives in Israel, I am not sure how much it has an influence on my stay in Dubai.

Will I get in trouble if someone will find out that I have some jewish roots?
How advanced is the freedom of religion (espacially jewish) in Dubai?

thanks

If I were you I would get a new passport that doesn't have any Israeli stamps on it and pretend your family live in the UK. When you visit them in Israel use another passport. Thats just the world we live in; accept the facts.

What NSR said. But no you won't get in trouble, if you respect them they will respect you--which is a lot more than you can say about Europe

That's my experience of five years in the peninsula, at least.

I know first hand that entering the UAE with an Israel entry stamp is not a problem. The immigration lady grinned and placed the Dubai stamp right next to Tel Aviv.

Sure if you have a EU , Aussie, or US passport. Try it with another countries passport!

For these non approved countries Israel kindly does not stamp our passport and issues a separate paper visa

Thanks,

thats the way I thought about it. Tolerant and open minded. And just the need for the respect. That should be no problem...
