747 Type Rating

Hello.

I am currently flying for a major on the A340-6 series. However, I am thinking of paying for an A380 type rating (technically just a small transition from an A330/340 to an A380) and then applying to an airline (DELC for the A380).

I've managed to save up some money for the type rating/type conversion course but I need to know, are any A380 airlines hiring at the moment?

I'm also quite high up on the senior list at my present airline (like it matters) but I fancy a change. Different aircraft, different routes, you understand. Would it be worth it?

---

I don't want to end up like Alan Carter (flying 744s and then 737s).
