questions

Hi, prunners I have some questions that I can't answer so I really appreciate if you can give me some asnwers

* ON THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT, THE NORTHEASTERLY MONSOON OCCURS:?
* WHEN FLYING AN ADF APPROACH USING AN RMI, TO REGAIN TRACK WHEN OFF:?
* ON A LAMBERT CHART THE DISTANCE SCALE IS MOST ACCURATE:
* WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TIME PERMITED FOR A JET ENGINE TO SPOOL UP FOM IDLE TO FULL THRUST:
* WHAT EFFECT DO SLATS HAVE ON THE ANGLE OF ATTACK:
* WHAT EFFECT DO SLATS HAVE ON THE MAX. ANGLE OF ATTACK:
* ON A FLIGHT FROM ATHENS TO MADRID A CORRECT FLIGHT LEVEL WOULD BE:
* WITH THE ANTISKID INOPERATIVE, FOR ANY GIVEN TAKEOFF WEIGHT:
* DURING WHAT MONTHS WOULD YOU EXPECT FOG IN DUBAI:
* WHAT IS THE WORST MONTH FOR FOG IN DUBAI:
* WHICH MONTHS IS THE MONSOON SEASON IN SOUTH ASIA:
* WHAT EFFECT DOES A 60 DEGREES BANK TURN HAVE ON THE STALLING SPEED:
* IN A JET ENGINE COMPRESSOR SECTION:
* WHY DOES THE AIRBUS HAVE A TAIL TANK:
* HOW WOULD YOU DEAL WITH A FIRE ONA CABIN SEAT:
* IF AFTER 120 NM YOU ARE 4 MILES OFF COURSE, WHAT HEADING CORRECTION SHOULD YOU USE TO REGAIN TRACK IN 60 NM:

many thanks

Dude, are you even trying...?

But here goes a few attempts. I do not guarantee accuracy:

* ON THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT, THE NORTHEASTERLY MONSOON OCCURS:?
In spring. After cooling the eurasia landmass during winter, high pressures form over (cold) land and low pressures over the (relatively hot) water.

* WHEN FLYING AN ADF APPROACH USING AN RMI, TO REGAIN TRACK WHEN OFF:?
Correct for it...? What? The question is nonsensical as it is.

* ON A LAMBERT CHART THE DISTANCE SCALE IS MOST ACCURATE:
Along the standard parallells. The scale expands outside them and contracts between them.

* WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TIME PERMITED FOR A JET ENGINE TO SPOOL UP FOM IDLE TO FULL THRUST:
Have no clue if there's any regulation for it but I seem to remember 8 seconds from somewhere.

* WHAT EFFECT DO SLATS HAVE ON THE ANGLE OF ATTACK:
None. The pilots control the angle of attack by the way they fly. They may move the CeL forward, giving a pitch up moment, that increases the angle of attack, but that would be type specific I believe.

* WHAT EFFECT DO SLATS HAVE ON THE MAX. ANGLE OF ATTACK:
Increased due to improved (more energized) boundary layer.

* ON A FLIGHT FROM ATHENS TO MADRID A CORRECT FLIGHT LEVEL WOULD BE:
Even, because it's westbound. Assuming IFR, for VFR add 500. (This is PPL stuff). Unless there's something else published for that specific route, in which case it should be appended to the question.

* WITH THE ANTISKID INOPERATIVE, FOR ANY GIVEN TAKEOFF WEIGHT:
What? A number of things possibly. The question is nonsensical in itself.

* DURING WHAT MONTHS WOULD YOU EXPECT FOG IN DUBAI:
Clueless, but I might venture a guess on fall, because of thermal low pressure systems over the indian subcontinent giving northerly winds? Something like that?

* WHAT IS THE WORST MONTH FOR FOG IN DUBAI:
Seriously. Are you just copying questions from a bank?

* WHICH MONTHS IS THE MONSOON SEASON IN SOUTH ASIA:
I thought there were two monsoons, but assuming the rainy one, should be sometime in the fall.

* WHAT EFFECT DOES A 60 DEGREES BANK TURN HAVE ON THE STALLING SPEED:
Increases it by 41%, assuming it's a level turn. Bank in itself does not influence stall speed, but load factor does. 60 degrees turn gives load factor 2, and stalling speed increases by the square root of the load factor (ie 1,41 in this example).

* IN A JET ENGINE COMPRESSOR SECTION:
Yes? What about it? The question is nonsensical.

* WHY DOES THE AIRBUS HAVE A TAIL TANK:
I have no idea. Probably some clever engineer will know.

* HOW WOULD YOU DEAL WITH A FIRE ONA CABIN SEAT:
Extinguish it with a handheld fire extinguisher, any class.

* IF AFTER 120 NM YOU ARE 4 MILES OFF COURSE, WHAT HEADING CORRECTION SHOULD YOU USE TO REGAIN TRACK IN 60 NM:
Drift angle was about 2 degrees (2 miles in 60 miles), new track to make good corrected by 4 degrees (4 miles in 60 miles), total correction 6 degrees.

I hate myself for helping you because this was seriously a piss poor attempt at just getting answers for free. Do ask when there's something you struggle to understand, but this just looks like lazyness. I'm on standby and bored....

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TIME PERMITED FOR A JET ENGINE TO SPOOL UP FOM IDLE TO FULL THRUST:
It depends....from ground idle or flight idle.
The longest I have personally seen (in revenue service) was twelve seconds.
Engine type, JT4A-17, used on the B707-320.
