Unfreezing German ATPL
Hi
I've had a look at the archive http://www.pprune.org/archive/index.php/t-352831.html, but I'm confused about the extra requirements that the German LBA has regarding ATPL's
Two specific questions:
- LBA wont give you an ATPL if your type rating is limited co-pilot. Is the only way to get rid of this limitation a command course, or is it simply taking the skill test in the left seat?
- PICUS hours are signed in my logbook, but I'm not sure if LBA will accept these. They don't publish the requirements as UK does in LASSORS e.g. you must brief it before the flight, do all the PIC's tasks, and if PIC interferes, then no signature etc.
Does anyone have experience with these requirements and the German LBA? How did you satisfy their paper lust?

Okay, been through the process:
- You can get ATPL, but check in left seat preferred but not technically compulsory as long as the papers say that you did the sim-check as PIC.
- LBA accepts PICUS hours as long as a German flight instructor (any kind) countersigns your ATPL application form, which has a part asking for this confirmation of hours.
