Thumbs up Airbus engine logic w/birdstrike damage- power rollback

Does anyone have knowledge of engine rollback logic on Airbus A319 series after engine damage? I read last year that Sully's A319 had both engines rollback to idle, but no info about whether both engines had ingested/ been fatally damaged by the birds. (If partially damaged, Boeing engines would still be running!) So my question narrows to would both engines roll back when one is damaged? Not logical, but from my experience on A300B2/4, their logic is not always logical! My A319/20 captain friends don't know the answer either.
Thanx
