That's good to know; I haven't filed my own flight plan for many years now, and have to trust the boys and girls in Ops - if they say we can go, we go! I just assumed that there was a procedure and that it was not likely that the crew in question departed illegally from a flightplan point of view.

Don't take yourself so seriously, QT! I know Aer Lingus pilots have a similarly professional attitude.
