VR Rotate

I know what the meaning of your VR speed is, however, why is it called 'Rotate'? Why is it called this word?

Beacause its the speed at which you start to rotate the aircraft into its climb attitude. Hence VR = VelocityRotate...

Knew a pilot who used to say 'Veeeeaaaaaaarr!!!!

In his Midlands accent.

And he also said - Fancy a Cuwwrie!!!!
