BMI apprenticeships?

Hi all.

Someone I know was telling me of British Midland offering apprenticeships in several fields. A key one of these being airport management and customer check in. I have spent many hours Googleing for these jobs, but they appear to be extremely illusive. However, the prospect of being able to work for a large airline such as BMI, and being capable of getting a HND in business and management is too much for me to not try and find out about, especially if it means working in the industry I want to try and get my foot into.

Does anyone have any information on these? Or any other airlines based in the UK?

Thank you,
Colin.

Yeah I know it sounds weird. Apparently the industry lacks people with the brains and quality to manage so some airlines, most notably apparently is BMI, offering degree courses as apprenticeships, with guaranteed employment upon compeletion, and entry into senior customer roles. AKA the person you ask for when the plane get's delayed.

If your that interested in doing it because of the HND/Degree, why don't you just do it at college or uni? It wont cost you anything.

I would like a job with BMI. Getting the uni degree and being able to work at Glasgow airport for BMI I would be fun. I just want something which gives me a step on the ladder of aviation as so to speak, and then improve upon airlines.

Never mind the added bonuses of there employment which includes cheap flights all over the world.

It will cost him unless he lives in Scotland.

I am British, Scottish and most importantly Glaswegian everyone's favorite people. So berkflyer it would be free. Well it would be except from that most of the good courses specifically in the airline industry are in England, so I would still pay about half.

And thanks BYALPHAINDIA.

Thanks
Colin.
