A320 Autobrake question

I understand that on the A320, Autobrake Low givens a decelleration rate (after 4 seconds) of approx 3.3 kts per second (and Med gives 5.9 kts per second after 2 seconds).

My question is whether this decelleration rate is the same regardless of the weight of the aircraft and therefore whether an empty A320 will stop in the same distance as one at MLW given the same Autobrake setting?

Many thanks for any replies.

The deceleration rate may be the same but the landing speeds would be different so you will still roll for longer at MLW.

Thanks - so if I understand correctly in the hypothetical scenario that the landing speeds were the same at MLW and empty the arcraft would stop in the same amount of distance?

thats correct. Even on a wet r/w the ALD is the same when auto brake is used.

hypothetical thats right but you need to consider that , because when you have less weight your inertia is going to be less. much easier to stop...
