LHR East operations

I just wondered folks:

The Heathrow guys alternate between 27L and 27R at 1500 hrs. However, when they land/to on the easterly operations, it seems they do not alternate. Which runways are used during the easterly operations?

Can't find it on search, any help greatly appreciated

09R for departure, due to noise.

Therefore, 09L used for most landings, apart from the odd few we might land on 09R if it's quiet outbound.

There is something called the Cranford agreement which limits noise for the residents of Cranford. This is why 9L is not used for departures as the norm.

If you want more detail, look up the 3rd runway consultation on the DFT website.
