Security question

In order for my colleagues, friends and family to enjoy continued confidence in Airport Security, I would like to know if BAA Staff Search staff are subject to the same random security checks as Air Crew by the DfT, i.e. covalent secretion of suspect items in their work place (not toothpaste or hair gel but mock bombs / guns etc secreted in passenger or crew luggage) and if so what proportion of such items were detected by security staff during the last year. I think this is extremely important.

I believe that they are, but don't think they find as much as you would hope.

I fear you would find the situation 'not fit for purpose'.
