FAA-ATP to Spanish JAA

I have possible work in Spain for a couple months this fall on a Helicopter contract. The job requires a JAA commercial rating. I currently hold an FAA ATP rating with aircraft type. Does anyone know the process I need to undertake to validate my certificate for a JAA? I am a 5000+ helicopter pilot, 1st class US medical.....thanks for any help or leads.....DHoward

I am not to sure but I think you will have to do a checkride with a JAA examiner and also the 14 ATPL examinations. Check LASORS http://www.caa.co.uk/application.asp...detail&id=1591 and go to page 151. Oh, you are going to need a JAR-FCL class 1 medical also which is quite different to its american counterpart.
