Adding the FAA to your CPL/IR in the UK

Hi, I have been asked by my new employer to sit the FAA exams prior to attending a rating in October. Question is: With a JAR fATPL only, do I have to do two sets of exams (CPL and IR writtens) or is it bundled into one? The Sporty's website has a good online question bank, but not sure if this is CPL, IR, or both. Would like to obtain CD-ROM / book of questions and answers, but there seems a lot of choice, and no clarity as to which is required. eg Pooleys offer an IR DVD (£189) and a CPL DVD (£189) - bit of a pricy option methinks, and do I need both? Advice on what to obtain and from where would be good, and also where one can sit the FAA exams in the UK, I heard a rumour it could be Farnborough or Norwich?

Thanks
