How are Scenic Flights Regulated in Europe?

I’m interested in how helicopter and light aircraft scenic flight operations over natural areas are regulated. Have been comparing Australia with how this sort of operation is regulated in North America to reduce the impact of A/C noise on the environment and ground users of the natural area (for example the Grand Canyon). One of the key aims of my of the research is to develop a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable framework for the conduct of scenic flights by Australian light aircraft and helicopters.

Also, I’m trying to develop a baseline understanding of light aircraft pilot knowledge relating to noise propagation mechanisms and environmental sound levels. To this end, have developed an online survey for Australian pilots – the idea is to have airline pilots (many of them, including myself, flew scenic flights as raw commercial pilots) to complete the survey. Let me know if anyone is interested and will post the link.
