Post JAA Transfer of Licence

Hello everyone,

This is my first post.
I am a holder of a JAA Licence/ CPL+IFR /MCC ATPL Theory Credit /Rating A318/319/320/321 CATIII/ COP I have around 800hrs total time.The issuing state is Germany.
Due personal reasons I shall be moving to the UK soon and I was thinking of transferring my licence to a UK/JAA one however I won't be flying for a UK based airline.
I have read the latest issue of LASORS regarding this issue and there is not much information in it.
The problem is that apperently the UK does not recognise Type ratings with a COP endorsement on it.The issue is that I still cant get a PIC rating of an A320 in a frozen ATPL (CPL/IFR/Theory credit MCC).
Can any member of this forum with a Frozen ATPL UK /issued and A320 type rated tell me what kind of endorsement there is in his licence?

Did anyone have the same problems when transferring the state of issue?

What can I do to get this problem sorted out?
I have some Dutch friends flying for a German airline who had the same problem when they passed all their screenings to join BA.
Easyjet reuqires all their pilots (including new recruits) to transfer their licence to a UK one?
Anyone who passed through the same saga? What options do I have?

Do you really need to transfer your certificate? Can't you just keep your German issued licence?

Interesting. That should be against the EU principle of accepting each others licences etc. Furthermore you are not allowed to discriminate someone only because the fact that their licence is issued in another EU country.
