Configuration Deviation List (CDL)

Some configuration deviations require a reduction in Performance Weights. How does one apply an "Enroute Climb" performance weight penalty?

Weight vs altitude and cruise buffet onset margin.
IE, reduced weight allowable to climb higher.

This could also affect driftdown ability in the event of an engine failure/shutdown, which it turn could affect the flight planned route for dispatch.

Unless of course you might be in BA, in which case they press on with three...regardless.

There is no such penalty listed in the 747 CDL. What airplane has it listed? What do the explanations say in the front of the CDL?
