BA LHR - Nassau / Grand Cayman / Providenciales

Hi,

I have been offered a position on the 767 at BA and was checking out the route structure, and was just looking for some info on the LHR to Nassau route.

Now this route obviously stops in Nassau then continues to either the Cayman Islands or Providenciales.

My question is, do the crew who fly the LHR - NAS sector then continue onwards or does a new crew take over in Nassau? How long is the layover in either Nassau, Grand Cayman or Providenciales? Are the NAS - GCM - NAS or NAS - PLS - NAS sectors flown in one day with a crew in the middle of their layover?

If anybody could give me a indication of the days and sectors flown on this route I would be very grateful!

Cheers guys!

Ben

Ben,

The lhr-nas service departs 5 times a week ( no mon or thurs).
4 out of the 5 then continue from nas to Gcm, and on a sunday it does PLS instead.
On every LHR-NAS sector there are 3 pilots (1capt, 2 fos), they all get off in NAS.
A new crew of 2 will then take the aircraft to GCM or PLS and back to NAS.
Another crew that have done a shuttle on a previous day, along with a first officer who has done no shuttle will take the aircraft back to london.
That makes each trip 5 days long (4 day on a friday)
Day 1....LHR-NAS
Day 2....NAS-GCM-NAS( NAS-PLS-NAS, on sunday)
day 3....off
day 4....NAS-LHR
Day 5....arrive home.
This is done by the capt and one of the FOs,
The other Fo will do
Day 1...LHR-NAS
Day 2...NAS-LHR
Day 3...arrive home

or
Day1...LHR-NAS
Day2...off
Day3...NAS-LHR
Day4...arrive home.

Slight variations on where the day off is depending on the day of the week you leave london.
Hope that helps.
Cya in Nassau, although if you are just joining the company don't expect to see too many of the longer trips.
