SFI Course

Hi,

Anyone know where you can do an (JAA) SFI course? Does it have to be type specific? And ballpark cost?

Cheers,

IR

Ref JAR-REL 1.365 and ACM 1.365, You would first need to do a 'core skills course' / 'core TRI course'.
These tend to last about a week, and include around 10 hrs on a 'generic' sim.
With that qualification in hand you can then undertake a type-specific course (TRITS) course, which will use the type on which you require your SFI rating.

Try emailing PARC or CTC for details of their core courses.

It's worth pointing out that the CAA normally only grant an SFI approval under the guidance of a specific TRTO - In other words your airline would need to 'sponser' you....
