Arrow Emb-170/190, CRJ-70 leasing costs.

Despite the many variables, about what is the leasing cost per aircraft for a 70 or 90-seat version, if leased in a group of 50-70 aircraft, for example? Was the R&D or production etc heavily subsidized by the Brazilian government, or by a proxy financial entity? Is there a package which includes fixed maintenence costs?

And about how much for a CRJ-70, whether new or used?

I dont believe that any leasing company has purchased these aircraft in the quantities that you need, therefore its impossible for you to get an answer.......

Even if you wanted to purchase the aircraft, the price offered to your airline might be totally different to ours........

Either way, ask them for as may aircraft models as possible....

The more you buy the more you save.......

Seriously though, there are very few CRJ70's available. Maybe a couple of Maersk's are still around, but most have been snapped up and are already being used in places such as Turkey, the western USA and Hong Kong. One piece of paperwork I saw SUGGESTED around $18m US for one of those.

Everybody else is trying to find a way around their scope clauses so they can buy a bunch more, rather than trying to get rid of them. Now a CRJ20 is much cheaper and easier to obtain as a lease or purchase......
