ATPL Expiry Exemption-Help please

My ATPL runs out of its (5 yr) validity soon. Does the CAA exemption allowing ratings to run on to the end of the month in which they expire apply to my ATPL or just the ratings/tests thereon?

Interesting, mine "remains inforce from 11 SEP 199X until 10SEP 200X." Validity period 10 years to the day and not unitl the end of the issue month. I hope that helps but it was issued proir to the JAA thingey!
