Ok this aint an airliner but it weighs the same as an DC9. F-111, many years ago a Gentleman called Mark Fallon, GOD rest his sole, Became an aircraft Captain on the General Dynamics F-111C of the RAAF at the age of 19.

PS. Regards Captianing an Airliner, unless theyve flown 15 tiwi islanders in a Single Pilot Twin Otter back to Bathurst Is., they havent flown as far as Im concenred.

I guess not.....FAA does give you an ATP license until you are 23...and that is a fact ...

what a bunch of crap...who cares ? how about the oldest co-pilot instead ? so sick and tired of the ego issue here..flying airlines is a job not a grammy award contest.

Very easy about the most senior F/O: someone who retires at 65 as a f/o (or at 60 if not allowed to go on...). It has happend plenty of times and it will happen again.

I became a training captain on 4-engine aeroplanes just before my 26th birthday.

It was quite a daunting experience at the time but it has worked out very well for I was always FAIR!
