Flying over 60`s
Hi fellows,
acctually captains over 60 can`t fly over France territory. I heared of a new law which affects every countries of EU as french law does. Is it true?

No...not true.
ICAO exemption still applies for foreign (IE; non EU) operators.
In addition, I have it on good authority that ICAO will recommend, as a standard policy, age 65, by early next year.
Medically fit, of course.

ICAO or the EU or anyone else can recommend what they like. In the end the French will do whatever suits them.
Just to clarify the previous post, does this mean non-EU nationals aged 60+ can overfly france but EU nationals can't?

Just one week ago a 62 years old Turkish Captain was bann to fly back to Turkey after a ramp check a CDG.....
15 hours later aircraft flew back to her base with an other Capt.
So was it an irregular action against this guy ???

From the little I can gather, you are dreaming if you think that the "new law" will change a thing. It will happen some time in the future, but not next year.
For starters most big long established airlines want the baby boomers off the pay role. Lots of cheaper guys coming over from the right seat.
Just what I've heard from some well informed people.
