Difficult summer at Gatwick?

Does anyone else think that Gatwick is heading for a busy summer, as it used to have a few years ago. In the last couple of days I have had some of the longest taxi delays (for Cat 1 weather), and also been put in the hold for at least 10 minutes both days. As far as I could see the departure and arrival rate could not have been bettered, both being optimised by the usual excellent ATC and also the helpfulness of most operators. I might just have been unlucky, but I just have that feeling it might be an interesting summer.

Air transport movements have been on the increase at Gatwick for a number of months, presumably available slots are being taken up with expanding LCC's like Easyjet and other new long haul airlines like Qatar etc. So no surprise really that short delays may be experienced as movemnts grow, particularly at peak times and and when "heavies", which have higher runway occupancy times, operate.
