cat III -capable
Just wondering where can I find, aboard the aircraft information regarding the capability of that aircraft to perform cat III landing? I didn't found this info on the AFM ,nor on the other certificates abord a 737.
It has to have a special aproval letter?

Cat III landing?
Don't get autoland and Cat III confused. The airplane may be autoland capable, and that should be in the AOM. Cat III legality is an Ops Specs issue.

Most carriers that carry out Cat II and III landings have a section of the ops. manual dedicated to it and it includes a list of items that must be serviceable, both crew must be current and, from the tech log, it should be ascertained that the aircraft has carried out a satisfactory autoland within the last twenty eight days etc. Different operators = different procedures but this is a rough guide.
As Quid says, don't confuse autoland capability with Cat II & III approach and landings.
