Reverse Thrust
I've a question regarding the use of reverse thrust.
On the A340, there is Idle reverse and Max reverse, and you only get idle reverse until the reversers are at least 95% open, no matter how much reverse thrust is requested. Is the amount of reverse thrust dependant on the position of the levers, i.e. if you ask for, say 50% reverse thrust, is that what you will get? Or is it either idle or max, with nothing in between?
Thanks
Sean

Busdrvr, I appreciate your response. Forgive me for questioning your authority. Since I've been a victim of misinformation in the past and there seems to be an assumption the A340 throttle works similar to the A320, I must ask. Are you speaking of experience, are you a A340 Pilot?
I appreciate your response, I'm in the process of designing quadrant for a A340 Sim. The manuals are not clear and this is the last piece of the Throttle puzzle.
Thanks again.
