Over 60 Rule

Help

I thought the over 60 rule that restricts age 60+ Pilots flying to
France and Italy was aimed at Pilot in Command and not First Officers.
Ive been told i'm wrong.

I can't comment on Italy, but I did discuss this with the DGAC in France a year or two ago. They stated that have to enforce the 60 age limit on pilots-in-command as this is an ICAO standard. However, as the age limit for co-pilots was only a recommended practice they would accept JAR-FCL licence holder between 60 and 65. I have not heard anything to suggest that they have changed their position on this.
