Question re EDI WX

Would just like to know how often it happens during winter for EDI to be closed due to weather, snow etc?

Closed once (snow) during the winter of 2002/3. Just a few hours
one morning.

One can expect 2/3 fog/mist closures each year however..

Strictly speaking, in the UK, airports don't close for weather. In snow conditions a runway may close for clearing operations but at other times it's a case of the airport being open but the weather is below operating limits for operators.
