I phoned Execair at Edinburgh a few months back, total cost with landing, parking, nav, handling fees was about £70 for a C172. Not exactly value for money! Hence I didn't visit. HIAL charge £11.75 for Inverness, Wick and Kirkwall in GA aircraft.

Edinburgh cost me around £90 for a TB20.

When you take into account: CAA Navigation charge, landing fee, and handling (about £15, £20, £55). Not to mention a further £1.20 or so per litre of AVGAS.....

Or to put it in perspective, it cost me about £100 in fuel to fly from Southern England to Edinburgh, and a further £90 to stop over night, plus a £40 taxi ride into town...oh and plus the hotel

An expensive night !
