Storm Coming Towards The Uk?

Anyone out there able to englighten us or add further clarification to the threat of a large storm moving easterly inwards from the Atlantic containing very high winds about to batter the UK in next 48 hours?

Beeb warning its could miss us or come straight at us at full force.
My long range charts not giving too much away.

Anyone else know whats likely to happen or just flown through it coming this way?

Batten down the hatches??

Been looking at the met office chart for thursday. it appears that there will be a fairly steep pressure gradient across central britain. I'm still learning about these things, so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Angel

a bit of rain certainly... and 60Kts ish ..... think I will spend the day tucked under my duvet with a good book ... try this link (forcast for Friday) or if you are into surfing the 9-12 footers expected in Cornwall... try This link ! :.

This is not dissimilar to the famous Micheal Fish scenario : secondary low's are unpredictable beasts .. but this one has the potential for causing some chaos.
