Do you need keys to start the aircrafts ignition ???

If you put wings on your car,you'll definetly need keys to fly it.Otherwise,excepting the cockpit door key,you won't find any keys in the plane.
But,who knows,with this new A318's ?!

Many GA aircraft use a key to turn the ignition. But the bigger the plane gets, the less secure it becomes

Yes, I use a key... without it, I can't unlock the door to get into the aircraft. If I ignore this vital step, I can't start the engines - unless I batter the door into submission! But, if I do that, the pressurisation won't work very well...
