Staying current?

If I get my PPL, how much flying/hours are required in order to keep the licence valid?

Thanks in advance

I think you will find that after your succesful checkrides, you will need 12 hours in the preceding 12 months of the second year......Hope that helps.

At least one of which must be with an instructor - however you can be doing anything with the instructor (ooer) like a night rating / IMC rating etc.

And don't forget the three fullstop landings in the previous 90 days to carry passengers.

Newcastle Aero Club rule is must have flown a Warrior in the previous 28 days or else a check ride with instructor before taking a club plane.
Any other club rules out there over and above the JARs?

carbheat - sounds like a usual sort of currency checks imposed on clubs by the insurance companies.

At cabair clubs you must've flown in the previous 28 days on type or you have to do a couple of circuits, plus there's a six-monthly checkride with the usual stalls, PFLs etc. thrown in.
